Mag. Augustina ComteMag. Augustina Comte is the High Priestess of the Temple of Science, a global fellowship of believers in Science, Technology, and the Spirit of Progress. Ordained in 2013, she holds an honorary doctorate in speculative theology from the Sapienza University of Rome. Her formal training includes graduate-level studies in science, technology, and society at a private research institute in the Boston area.
As senior editor at the Temple’s publishing imprint, Magisterium, Mag. Comte is currently conducting exhaustive research into historical and newly discovered scientific texts in order to compile the Book of Science, a sacred scripture for the faith. Mag. Comte also travels widely for the purposes of research and evangelism, and she has been invited to speak at such venues as the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (Alberta, Canada, 2015) and the Spencer Museum of Art (Lawrence, Kansas, USA, 2018). Aside from her professional roles, Mag. Comte enjoys collecting obscure facts and criticizing people’s grammar on the Internet. She resides in Utopia, Kansas, with her desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone.
